IBSC's Data Protection (GDPR) Policy can be found here

Please note that IBSC does not provide guided trips and each participant is responsible for their own safety. That said, we pool our resources and look out for others. The point is, we all look after ourselves and others with us, learn from each other without taking formal responsibility for others' safety.

The Club policy is that everyone on a trip should have:

  • Transceiver
  • Shovel
  • Probe

These items are available for loan (if you are a member of the club) and available by contacting the Equipment Secretary at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We also strongly suggest that you carry an ice axe and crampons. This is ski mountaineering, not just skiing.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right equipment.
