IBSC booking policy:

For events with an overnight, you must be a club member. You can come as a guest on other trips. If you reserve a place, particularly a trip with an overnight, you agree to paying the relevant fee. If you don't pay within one week, we remove your place and make it available to others. If you have paid but decide not to come, it's up to you to find a replacement before you get a refund.

By joining the Inverness Backcountry Snowsports Club you agree to the following:

  • You agree to the club contacting members using the information you provide when joining the Club.
  • You do not object to information you provide being held on computer, web server and membership list (unencrypted) and are willing to have your email address circulated to members, and passed to Snowsport Scotland for purposes of the club's liability insurance. This information will not be passed on to any other organisation.
  • Please note: IBSC does not accept members under 18 years of age. Anyone under that age who comes to a Club event is the sole responsibility of their parents/guardians.
  • You agree to replace any equipment that you damage on a like for like basis.
  • You understand and accept that all members and others who attend Club events or meetings do so at their own risk and neither the Club nor its Office-bearers can accept any liability whatsoever for any loss or injury of any kind sustained while engaged in Club activities.

Please note that IBSC does not provide guided trips and each participant is responsible for their own safety. That said, we pool our resources and look out for others. The point is, we all look after ourselves and others with us, learn from each other without taking formal responsibility for others' safety.
